In-House Lab & Technology

At our Memphis animal clinic, we use advanced veterinary technology and our in-house lab to provide comfortable, efficient care and same-day test results for Memphis pets.

In-House Laboratory

When you're already worrying about your pet's health, having to wait for test results can be extremely stressful.

Our in-house laboratory allows us to perform tests immediately and obtain results on the same day, so that we can alleviate your concerns and get started with treatment more efficiently.

At our in-house lab, we can run the following tests:

  • Complete Blood Counts (CBC)
  • Electrolyte Evaluation
  • Parvovirus Testing
  • Heartworm Detection
  • Urinalysis
  • Fecal Exams & Intestinal Parasite Testing
  • Blood Chemistry Panels (to evaluate organ function)
  • Cytology of Skin & Ear Samples
  • Feline Leukemia & Feline Immunodeficiency Virus Testing

Veterinary Imaging Technology

Digital Radiology (X-Rays)

Digital x-rays capture data directly during the patient exam and transfer it immediately to a computer system.

Digital x-rays provide better resolution and higher contrast than traditional x-rays do, and the the software allows us to manipulate the x-rays images for improved diagnostic value. It requires far less radiation, making it safer for your pet.

We get higher quality images more quickly and safely, meaning more accurate diagnosis and more efficient treatment in the long run.

Ultrasound technology transmits sound waves into the body to create an image.

If a pet has a tumor or has ingested something it shouldn’t have, an ultrasound can help us locate the object and characterize it.

Ultrasound help us distinguish fluids from soft tissue masses or foreign bodies, which is sometimes difficult to do with an x-ray. This makes them useful in the diagnosis of hemoabdomen and pericardial effusion (blood in the abdomen and around the heart).

Client Comments About Our Quality of Care

  • I board my fur babies at the clinic when I go on vacation and they love it! I asked one of the staff members what they do to make these puppies want to stay. I don't know what the staff does with them but they don't mind going especially when I tell them they're going to see the girls. I am so glad they're happy staying there. It makes my vacation much more enjoyable.
